It was amazing - until the wind blew the nest over and broke the eggs. Those bird shots, they are just fantastic! I must admit to more often than not becoming quite tearful whenever I see a parent bird caring for its young. xLouisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03800196831833931842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1672218245254281278.post-61821216693970602532010-06-16T13:32:57.684-07:002010-06-16T13:32:57.684-07:00oh he's definately a keeper with pics like tha...oh he's definately a keeper with pics like that -- hub even asked me what I was aaaahhhhing at ... hummingbirds are awesome. I just find it hard to believe that you can go for a walk relatively near your home and find wildlife like you do...I'm living in the wrong location, I guess! Our weekend was busy, but good. We actually went on a "nostalgic drive" to the town where we met and were married...that was fun! Looking forward to next weekend already!Terri Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06296936438817483339noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1672218245254281278.post-18898896594606284582010-06-15T10:01:26.870-07:002010-06-15T10:01:26.870-07:00Hi Hetty (this is 'Mr. LizzieJane')

I really do appreciate it!

To answer your question about the camera - it is a Canon 40D but what really allows me to take these shots with such detail is the Canon 100-400mm lens and the 1.4X tele-extender that combined equals a 560mm lens. Should you decide to go that route be prepared to heft a good 20-pound load.TPC Photographyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01172074127180271107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1672218245254281278.post-8425393355647938392010-06-15T09:19:23.097-07:002010-06-15T09:19:23.097-07:00Sounds like a great weekend. I want to get myself a new one that will allow me to take close ups like he does.hettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15090080775748699453noreply@blogger.com
