Frustration!!!

I should have trusted my instincts today when they told me "no sewing today".
I embarked on designing a new dog..........well that was a mistake, first it looked like a lamb, then it turned into a deformed goat! I sat there for a minute then let out an AARGH. Then I did what all Brits do when they are under stress..........I made a cup of tea!

Charlie

Charlie is the most well behaved little puppy. He even comes with his own little chew toy embroidered with his name.
Charlie will be up for adoption in my little Etsy shop.

Just Wondering

Have any of you ever wondered how people come up with blog names? Mine is pretty simple, it's my middle name Lizzie (Elizabeth actually) and my daughters middle name Jane, hence Lizziejane. There are some really lovely and weird blog names that I thought it would be fun to find out how they came about.

While you are all pondering I'll leave you with this photo of two little frogs that were snuggled into one of my flowers last summer, they looked so comfortable.

After the weather that we have been having the last few days I wondered if I should have knitted a sweater instead of putting this poor little elephant in a bikini!

Now I know what you are all thinking, is it a regular bikini bottom or is it a thong? You'll have to check Etsy in a little while to find out!

Surprises

A wonderful surprise arrived for me today from my darling daughter.
I just had to share my beautiful flowers with everyone. We often send each other little out of the blue gifts for no reason, or just because it's Tuesday.
Sometimes it's just a card or even just a granola bar!
It's such a fun thing to do, and for us it's more fun than receiving a birthday gift.
Thank you my angel, I just love them.

Quilt for a cause

I made this quilt a while back (alas it was not my pattern). I donated it to It's Meow or Never animal sanctuary to be raffled off to help raise funds.
It was such a fun project to do. The lady holding the quilt was the winner.

Almost Spring

I just love this time of year, every day there is something new in the garden.
My lovely flowering plum tree is just about to bloom, and I even caught this little bird taking a bath in my garden pond. It made me shiver just watching him splashing in the cold water.

I've been a busy bee this weekend sewing up a storm. This is my newest creation, I call them Quackers.

I had a super weekend, thanks in part to the lovely Kajsa from Syko.

Kajsa put one of my little animals in the Etsy showcase - Nellie the elephant to be exact. Nellie was sold and will be packing her "trunk" for her new home in Spain. Somehow I don't think she will be needing her fleece jacket or her orange scarf anymore.

He lives across the street and came for coffee today.

Teeny and Weeny

Teeny and Weeny are all snuggled in bed after a hard day of play.
Their tummies are full and the've had their bath, now they're off to dreamland in their new flannel jammies.

Fernando

We have a little mouse friend visiting us from Portugal, his name is Fernando.
Fernando is a bit of a flirt and loves to dress up in his finery.

Lulu

As much as I love living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, at this time of year it can be very dreary.

So I created my own little ray of sunshine in Lulu the elephant. The weather even co-operated and was unusually beautiful.
