House Washing and Bag Making

Today was house washing day. Every couple of years or so we get the outside of the house pressure washed. Living in the climate that we do it doesn't take very long for dirt, grime and mold to attach itself to the house. Of course having a white house is probably not ideal either. That was my doing. I always wanted a white house with black shutters. So today was a stay at home day while listening to the noise of the pressure washer roaring away. I am pleased to say that they have finally finished. They were here about eight hours working away with only a short break for lunch.

So all day I have been in my sewing room working on some bags. Right now bags seem to be my thing and I am having so much fun stitching away.
I am going to pop some in my shop once I have done a few more. It really was a lovely way to spend the day. Right after the washing crew finished I hurried outside to photograph the bags on the garden gate. The sun was starting to fade but I think I just made it in the nick of time.

Well my fun sewing day has come to an end and now I have to go and figure out what to have for dinner!

See you soon.

Your bags are lovely. Funny, I've been getting the urge to make a bag. I used to make them years ago and I think I may give it another try.

I just love your bags. I keep getting the urge to make some myself. But not the garden is also calling me. Never enough time!

Hi - Sue sent me this way. Where in the Pacific Northwest are you (if you don't mind my asking)? I'm in the greater Seattle area, work downtonw, love to sew, make 90% of my own clothing, knit and have 4 dogs.

We smartly painted our house green :) Lovely bags. g

I bet you feel a lot better for the house having its annual wash. A bit of Spring cleaning is good for the soul, isn't it. Pretty bags too. Have a lovely weekend Kathy. x

Cute bags!! I was just thinking that I needed a good pressure hosing to our home... I was scrubbing off the mold on the north side of the house and it was taking forever!!

Hi! We live in Oregon and totally understand about the climate. My husband will pressure wash our house just as soon as we have a couple days of sunshine! I love your bags and the animals in your Etsy shop!
