Oh my!

This was the first sight I saw when I opened the blinds this morning, how lucky I am to be able to see these beautiful mountains. I never get tired of them or take them for granted, they still are as impressive to me now, as they were the first time I saw them. We have been having some very cold days, and as you can see lots of snow up in those mountains, today it was lovely and clear, so it was perfect for taking a picture. As if one glorious picture wasn't enough, look at what my husband captured today on his way home, this wonderful immature bald eagle was apparently chasing the geese and ducks down by the Puget Sound, my husband tries to remember to take his camera with him whenever he comes home that way. The poor dear was just about frozen trying to get the perfect shot, and I think he succeeded brilliantly!

Enjoy your Tuesday everyone!

Actually, Layla, I believe that was a pegrine falcon. Eagles are HUGE. Common mistake --- May God bless you, friend, and may the Creator of Light givest unto thee discerment and wisdom. This CHRIST-mass, be at peace.

That is so cool. What a great shot. Give your husband a cup of cocoa on me for such a great job.

Hi, Tom's the name - I'm LizzieJane's husband and Layla's dad. I took the picture. I am without a doubt about that bird being an immature American Bald Eagle. I have photographed both eagles and Peregrine falcons. This bird was at least four times the size of the Peregrines.

Great photo of the eagle - well done Tom! However, look at that view! It would take my breath away too! How wonderful to see that every day! I live in an amazing country and also see some incredible views, but when I wake up it's just the neighbouring apartments I see!

What great photos, yet again! Probably the thing I miss the most about Chile, where I grew up, are the Andes Mountains, which you can see from anywhere in the city. When it rains in the city, it's snowing in the mountains, so when the rain clears out, the mountains are gorgeous. Keep those photos coming!
