Bess
Bess is patiently waiting for her Valentine to come by...I hope she is not in for a long wait!
A while back during one of our antique shopping trips I found these wonderful linens, one is even embroidered with my initial, the letter K. Quite often on weekends if it is rainy we go antiquing, I could spend hours digging through piles of linens, old lace and whatever might happen to be there. Seeing a pile of stuff lying there only makes me all the more curious as to what treasures I might find tucked underneath. My mother on the other hand didn't care much for antiquing, like most people of her generation she just saw the stuff as being old. I can almost cry at all the things that were probably discarded over the years because they were "old". I remember quite clearly, even though I was still a young girl, all the wonderful antique furniture that was replaced in my grandmothers house because it was getting old and it was time to get some new modern furniture... times change I guess. It is the time of year here when sunrises and sunsets are at their most beautiful, who could be grumpy when this is what greets you first thing in the morning, as it did us a few days ago. I am quite often asked why we live here in the Pacific Northwest, I even ask myself that during our month long sieges of rain... well this is why!
See you all on Monday!

What a magnificent view. I never used to like going thru antique shops, but I've learned to look for treasures and have found a few.

Your bunnies are unbelievable :) Bess wont wait ! She is adorable ! I love antique. My mother told me that in the 60's a lots of people in the country trew their beautiful antique furniture (cabinetwork) away to get some moderne one > Formica ! It hurts. I know why you design such bunnies with that amazing view :) It helps :) Have a great weekend :)
Happy weekend to you, too, Kathy! What gorgeous views...so reminiscent of Chile for me. I love antiquing, too, but I don't have anyone to go with me and I'm not very knowledgeable, so I don't go too often. There are lots of neat antique stores in our area, though, if you ever come out this way!
Oh, Bess is wonderful, and that view amazing! I would love to wake up and see that every morning!
What a sweet Valentine girl!!! i too hope she does not have to wait. gorgeous view!!! on the antique story, there was one time my grandfather in the farm burned a whole antique bedroom set 'cause he thought it was old and junk. they did not have trash pickup and had to burn all the trash. boy was my grandmother MAD!!! she still wanted it LOL!!! it was nice....
What a wonderful view to wake up to! That really is magnificent.

I hope that Bess finds her beau sooner rather than later! She's beau-tiful! As is your view...and those antique-y finds. Mmmmm....I still think you and I have a lot in common!
I love the new blog design - just in time for Valentine's Day and Bes too. The view is just amazing, I love the purply colours on the snow capped mountains...beautiful.

Sweet little Bess! What a cutie. But why is she waiting for her Valentine? Isn't Valentine's Day the day when girls can ask a favourite boy for a date? That view is wonderful! How inspiring to be surrounded by such beauty!
Such a sweet bunny (as usual!)
