My goodness have we had hot weather the last few days. It was over 90 degrees here today. My roses have been opening so quickly that you can almost here them pop!
I know I shouldn't complain about the weather being so hot when that is normal for some parts of the country, but we here, up in the Northwest are just not used to it at all. That will all change tomorrow as we cool down quite a bit, thank goodness.
My roses aren't the only things that are blooming in the garden. The dogwood tree is in full bloom right now and looks wonderful.
It has been a bit of a challenge to make sure that everything is well watered. Unfortunately my poor lettuce is not looking so good, the heat really took a toll on it. I think I will have to plant a new batch which hopefully will be ready in a couple of weeks or so.The heat took a toll on me as well, as sewing and knitting were out of the question. The last thing I wanted to do was handle wool felt or yarn. So the only thing I have to show for today's post are these flower pic's. I hope you enjoy them and I hope you enjoy your weekend too!

You need a beach umbrella for your marvellous flowers :) Unfortunately we still have a cold wind here with sun :) I imagine that your roses smell wonderfully ! Have you tried to make some jam with your lovely roses ? I wish you a wonderful weekend my friend :) xo

Sounds like you have Texas weather. We have had 90's since early May. The heat is not so bad but the humidity is a killer - curly hair weather as I call it! Hope you have a nice weekend and keep cool - make some ice cold lemonade. Down here the drink is ice tea but I will pass on that.

We've had rain forever, but starting today it's supposed to get hot. I guess you're sending it our way.

I was just thinking today that our almost week of rain must be what it's like up your way, Kathy! I don't envy all your rainy days, but I also don't envy your hot weather...I would prefer 70 year round with low humidity! Beautiful photos!

Good to hear that you are getting to see the sun. Here in NZ it's been a pretty cold winter so far, frost three mornings in a row.
I'm in Oregon and we've had unseasonably WARM weather too this past week...today it was nice. Gorgeous flowers and super pics!
