A day at the beach

The water was a little cold but all in all our day at the beach was wonderful. The tide was extremely low which was great for looking at all kinds of sea life.We found this little tiny crab.......then we found this really big one that I wasn't about to pick up! We found this lovely creature........as well as these. Saw this little guy....
....having a blast. We found some sand dollars....
....and saw an Osprey......coming in for a landing at her nest.
The last thing we saw was a little tug boat that had pulled this barge loaded with fireworks for the evening fireworks display.

We loved our day at the beach, we hope you do too!

What wonder pictures, a wonderful day. my favorite sea shells are the ones you are holding, the sea scallops and sand dollars. heck i will take any shells i can find, they are usually in pieces.... oh well. i use them in the house and outside in my garden decor and in the potted plants.

I wouldn't have picked up that big crab either! Last time we took our little ones to the beach we saw Grandma (our main reason for going!), whales (can't give you words for that kind of experience!), and an octopus....that I wasn't about to touch either! Thanks for reminding me of summer to come! Jen

that clam looks enormous!!! I'm a bit scared of crabs ... I'm not sure why - I'm quite convinced that they will snap my fingers off ;-)

I'm a little late at commenting on this post as my computer was out of whack for a few days, but I was so looking forward to these pictures, and they were great! I love beaches where you can actually still find all kinds of critters, and your beach was perfect for that! Thanks for sharing your wonderful day!
