And another week starts!

Here we go again with another week, it was nice though that we got an extra hour, I always love it when we get to move the clocks back an hour.

I finished this little Ellie for a lovely customer, it is going to be a present for her little girl, I hope she likes it. I think this week I will try to work on some ideas for some Christmas ornaments that I have been mulling over for a while, I hope they come out as good as my mind envisions them!We did something a little different this weekend, we scouted out some antique stores and thrift stores, we didn't really find any great deals except for this wonderful vintage lace, all 14 yards of it for $6.00, I just couldn't resist, I am sure I will find something to use it for.At one of the thrift shops we visited I purchased two pure wool jackets, I have had this idea in my mind for a while of making a mouse that looks like a little English Country Squire dressed all tweedy in a little waistcoat and such. As soon as we returned home into the washing machine they went, we have one of those front loaders that actually heats up the water to boiling, so it made it really easy to shrink the fabric into boiled wool. Now I know the pic doesn't look like much but that is the fabric after I cut it away from their linings, I was quite thrilled at how it turned out...now I am hunting for other wool things to boil!Last but not least, look what that wonderful hubby of mine bought me, the boxed set of the Twilight books, I have the first two in paperback, but now I have them all in hard bound to read over and over again, did I mention that they were my newest favorite books!

I was just thinking today how lovely it would be if we could just put the clocks back one hour every week, then I wouldn't have to stay up so late reading every night!

Have a lovely Monday everyone.

I'm sure the little girl who gets this Ellie will just love her! I can't wait to see your new mouse outfits too! I LOVE that idea!!! Who doesn't love English clothing?! And I'm super jealous of your books! I loaned out the first one and never got it back, and I'm dying to read it again before the movie premiere! I'm glad you're excited about the party! Too bad we can't see the movie together!!!

Your ellie is adorable - her dress is too pretty! The vintage lace is so pretty. I am sure you will find many uses for it. I will have to check out those books - hate to say but I have not heard of them. Am I living in the dark ages or what??
