We have soap... well kind of!

Soap making started today! I can't show you the real soap yet as it is still curing in the mold. I can however show these cute little melt and pour soaps that we made for fun. There are so many lovely molds for sale that it was really hard to choose. I wish I could have them all but they are a little bit pricey so I had to make do with one... for now! It was a very good day to make soap as the weather was really yuck, but I did take a break and ventured out into the garden to photograph these wonderful daffodils. I have been tempted to pick them before the wind and rain destroys them, but they looked so lovely in the garden that I had second thoughts. Isn't this fun fabric, I haven't a clue what to make with it but it shouted out my name while I was in the fabric store so it came home with me! My daughter wanted crochet facial scrubbies so this is what I have been crocheting in front of the TV the last two nights. They are quite easy and fun little things to make and they don't call for a lot of yarn. These were made with an all cotton crochet yarn, soft but scrubby at the same time. Well of course I had to include at least one nature pic in my post today. So once again here is one of our little hummingbirds. This one is sitting atop our Weeping Pussy Willow tree, he's such a lovely little fellow.

Well what a Hodge Podge post this is today, I think there is a bit of something for everyone. Hope you all enjoy it.

The little button soaps are so cute. Are they soaps or the molds? Whatever they are they're really cute. Where do you find soap molds?

Is there a difference between soap and melt and pour soap? I'm a little confused with the bars you are showing. Love your little hummingbird. And, of course, your daffodils. Can't wait until our weather catches up with yours!

I love the button molds you chose for your soap! So cute! The little face scrubbies remind me of the little crochet flowers I have seen for scrapbooking and card making embellishments. I'm trying to talk my mother-in-law into making me some of those. Great nature pics, too!

That button soap is fun! And I need to make some of those face cloths! They are so pretty. We have daffodils blooming... in fact I have one sitting here in a vase that Craig brought in for me next to my computer! I always love your photos of your garden!!! Keep sharing them! I love the little hummingbird too... my Dad has one that will actually come up to his head when he's sitting on the porch! Hope the rest of your week is great!

You could make pretty travel lingerie bags with your fabric. : )

It was a yucky day today - I spent the day in the kitchen.

If I had to 'make do' with a soap old that would be the mold for me it's fabulous!

The soaps are great. I didn't realise you could buy fancy moulds like that. I was going to say underwear bag for at home or away. The material is just right. x
