It's one of those days when I just could not think what to blog about. I know we all have them. I can only drag out my ripple afghan so many times to take a photo of it before I bore you all to tears with it's progress. It is still growing but not enough for you to see such a big difference since the last time.
So I decided to take a walk in the garden. Yes, the sun was shining so I headed outdoors to see what I could find.
The garden is a bit behind this year due to our cool rainy weather. Things are starting to come along though. The hanging basket is exploding into color. I can't wait til it is in full bloom. It always looks so spectacular hanging on the front porch. The roses are starting to bloom. It was quite lovely standing in the rose garden.Once again our lovely Dogwood tree is in full bloom. It never fails to please year after year. The hummingbirds are just loving the Honeysuckle. They have been buzzing all over it for a while now.Busy little bee hard at work. Which is what I should be doing, and I really was intending to until........ my wonderful mailman brought me this lovely little book! I have been wanting it for a while now and I had actually forgotten that I had ordered it. So it came as a nice surprise.I am already seeing some things that would make for good blogging........ time for tea I think!
See you soon!

lovely flowers, and even lovelier book xoxoxoox
Your garden is a wealth of colour - beautiful. Superb hanging basket too - looks to me like it's already in full bloom!
Janet
Thank you so much for taking us on a walk in your garden -- Just beautiful
Kindest Regards Linda
I really enjoyed your beautiful garden walk - so colorful. I have always been curious about Japanese books - how do you translate the patterns or don't you??? Thay crochet granny pincushion is catching my eye - what a neat idea. It looks like a granny square attached to a fabric square.
Your garden looks wonderful. I especially love the pink dogwood. We planted one the first year we lived here, but the poor thing struggled for awhile, then died. The weather and the insects here don't make gardening easy.
I wanted you to know that surgery #2 was a success and my vision is now 20/20. It'll take a little time till my eyes and brain adjust to the changes, but things are looking good.
I am loving all the crochet I keep finding. Your afghan (is that the right word, just had a brain block!)looks wonderful. I really like the bright colours. I have a Japanses crochet book which I won from a blog but haven't a clue where to get started, I am such a novice (even though I made my first granny square blanket when I was about eight years old.....)
I am mad of your hanging basket!!! So beautiful!!! Magical!!! Hugs xo
Nice to see things are positively blooming in your neck of the woods. The hanging basket really has filled out beautifully. I shall look forward to seeing some of your crochet handiwork. x

We love the garden photos. It is never a dull moment in a blog to see beautiful flowers!
We love that book too. It looks so pretty. Our Mummy is teaching herself to knit and crochet for us. Her mum is really good at crochet and she has an ambition to make some beautiful lace doilies.
