I shouldn't have, but I did!

I have been wanting to make this little knitted top for quite a while, but I promised myself that I wouldn't start on it until I had finished with my purple sweater. The yarn had to be ordered as I couldn't find it anywhere so I figured that would give me plenty of time to finish the previous one... wrong! The new yarn came in lightning speed time...... and I was dreadfully naughty and just couldn't resist to knit just a couple of rows with it, just to see how it feels. Well more than a couple of rows were knit and I am happy to report it is just yummy.

My mother had so much more willpower than I have. She would never start any new knitting until the previous work was all completed. Not even if there was a bag of the most wonderful new yarn sitting alongside her knitting basket, she would always complete the item she was working on. I can hear her voice now telling me to "finish what you have started." I guess no matter how old we get we still sometimes don't listen to our mothers!

Now I know that you all do it too. You do, right? You can tell me I promise I won't breathe a word to anyone... honestly!

Lol, I'm afraid I'm a bit more like your mother . At the minute I've got the most gorgeous softest wool waiting to be made into a birthday present and it's just sitting there mocking me , very tempting to give in tho...... looking forward to seeing your top finished , lovely colour

I'll admit it! I do it all the time! I only have problems with finishing things, but never with starting new projects.

Yes, I'm afraid I'm guilty. I try so hard to finish the current project, but the temptation is just too much for me.

I am forever not finishing what I started....oh my I have my son's baby book that is a scrapbook that is sooooo far from completed. I take 1,000,000 photos, but never frame them. I buy craft materials, then never start on the project sometimes. Bad. My to do list is long for this summer, but at least I am never bored.
Ha! Now that makes you look like a saint =)

Oh it's beautiful, I can see why you wouldn't be able to resist casting on. I am fairly good at finishing items first but then I always have about four on the go. I have a friend who takes yarn into custody for me if I think I might be too weak willed to hold out. She did it with the yarn I wanted to take to Manila.

Artists tend to be spontaneous people! I love this pattern-- it will be beautiful, especially on you!!

Clothes! I haven't got very far with my cardigan .... It has been ages. I hope you are well. Looks like you have been up to some wonderful stuff as usual. I actually managed to get some sewing in this week ... in between baby squeaks .... but it was quite exciting none the less.
