Yesterday in my garden. Post number 73

I took a stroll around my garden yesterday, camera in hand, to see if there was anything to take a photo of.

My beautiful dogwood tree is in full bloom and looking wonderful.

I managed to zoom in and get a photo of my "little baby grapes"

Then I saw this little frog sitting outside my birdhouse, it wasn't until I downloaded the photo's that I noticed a wasp crawing on him.

Back outside I went to make sure that he was ok, I watched for about ten minutes as wasps went in and out of the birdhouse not bothering the frog, and he didn't seem one bit interested in them.

Now if I could only get a bird to nest in there!

Your dogwood tree is marvelous !
How is your frog by now ? Maybe the frog thought that your cute elephant lived inside this lovely birdhouse and wanted to have a cup of tea with her ? Maybe... :)))

What a bizarre thing! Firstly what was Mr Frog doing in the birdhouse? and then to have an enormous waspy thing on him!!
Some times I think you are living in a Zoo!!

Love your dogwood tree!!! I would love one out here, but I'm not sure it would tolerate the heat here very well. Love the frog pic....but ...EEEEKKKK!!!!! Yikes!!! Mr. Frog was very brave....now that really is nature in its purest form!!!

I love the flowers! I took lots of flower photos this weekend too - it just seemed like the perfect weather for it!

A few years back my mum was lamenting the fact that no birds were nesting in her birdbox so one day she went outside to have a look in it and realised that the bottom had fallen out - it would make it kind of difficult for a bird to lay any eggs in it!!

You must be behind us in the season on the west coast! We had beautiful dogwood blooms this year too, but we seem to have leaped into summer full speed! I am laughing at Di's post about the birdhouse too! How did that frog get up there anyways??!
(Please tell your husband thanks for the comment yesterday! I have an Odyssey right now but maybe someday I'll find an old vw van. We had one growing up!)

Your yard and flowers are simply beautiful. Love that birdhouse - maybe Mr. Froggie was just looking for a place to live. I wonder why the frog did not try to eat the wasp - guess he was lucky he did not try!!

While it is so lovely to see your garden in full bud and bloom....its colds and wet and miserable here....Your photos at least told me that winter won't last forever. There is a promise of new things to come! Jen.

I love your landscaping. We have been working on our yard for years to get just the right mix.
